Hawaiian Roll Ham n Cheese Slider Sandwiches
This makes a perfect weeknight dinner recipe and you can either make the recipe as is for a party or big family or have leftovers! Or you can just half the recipe to make it smaller. Pickles are optional on these sandwiches but the mix of the tartness or the pickles with the sweetness of the sam and bread is the best combo ever!!!! 24 King Hawaiian dinner rolls
24 Slices of honey ham or any sweet ham (or about 3/4lb)
20 Slices swiss cheese ( or about1/2 lb)
3/4 Cup Mayo
48 Pickle chips
1 Tablespoon dijion mustard
1/2 cup of butter (whole stick)
1 Tablespoon minced onions (I use the dried ones in the spice aisle)
1/2 Teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
1/2 Teaspoon garlic powder
First. Preheat the oven to 350. Then cut the rolls in half down the center. Then add a nice layer of mayo to the bottom half and place it on a greased cookie sheet. Keep all the bun tops together and separate. Do this for all of them and place them rather close together on the sheet.
They will appear as such.
The fold each slice of ham to fit on each roll. Next top with pickles before you add cheese to ensure the cheese gets all of its melty goodness on the pickles. After adding the cheese put the tops of the rolls back on and just start imagining how good they are going to taste. Ignore the pot on the stove I was making apple juice!
Melt the butter and add the other sauce ingredients together and mix it all up. It should be somewhat separated but thats okay. Then spoon a little on top of each sandwich trying to get some of the sauce and the mustard that tends to hang out at the bottom. They both add to the flavor.
Finally! You get to cook the sandwiches. Cover them and bake at 350 for 13-15 minutes. Then uncover them and bake for another 3-5 minutes. Then take them out and enjoy. They are worm and soft with a crispy crust. Pure deliciousness!
